Wet Tissue Stabilization

Anatomical Collections

Cultural Preservation & Restoration has stabilized a number of wet tissue anatomical collections for research institutions, museums, medical museums, and universities.

Many of these collections date from the early 19th century and were used as teaching tools for medical students long before the use of plastic models and virtual technology.

Although historically significant, many of these collections have languished for many years, requiring stabilization and fluid changes to mitigate toxins and dangerous materials that were historically used to preserve these specimens.
